Kathy Poston Costner of Chester passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026 at the age of 70. She was the widow of Randall Lewis Costner and the daughter of the late Lewis Edward Poston, Jr. and Lucille Couch Poston. She is survived by one son, Brad Costner; two brothers, Ronald Poston (Peggy) of Catawba and Billy Poston (Debbie) of Chester; one sister, Teresa Bayne (Terry) of Lugoff.

Kathy was retired from Winn Dixie and a member of Woodward Baptist Church where she had been involved with the children’s ministry before her health declined.

The visitation for Kathy will be 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 at Woodward Baptist Church. The family hosted memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. and be conducted by Reverend Keith Henson and Mr. Ron Poston.
