Family and friends are mourning the loss of Laura Johnston Martinez, wife of Jose Cristobal Martinez Carrillo. The celebration of Laura's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home.

She was born in Columbia, SC to the late Wade Franklin and Eunice Wheeler Johnston, Sr. Laura is also survived by her two daughters, Shane West of Lexington, SC and Jamie West of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Wade Johnston, Jr. (Gloria Evans) of Saluda, SC; three sisters, Kathy Medina of Saluda, SC, Shannon Garcia Rico and husband Efrain of Rock Hill, Karen Johnston of Asheville, NC; grand-daughters, Isabella West, Kasey Brown; grand-sons, Daniel and Austin Harrell; great-grand-daughter, Emma Harrell; step-great-grand-son, Cameron Case; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Hollis (Aug. 2019).
