Leonard Carlton Raines, age 57, of Chester, died May 8, 2013 in Piedmont Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Jeannie St. Jean of the home; four daughters, Christina, and her husband Butch Freeman, Sara Arlisa Kahle, Catherine Lynn Raines and Dena Lynn St. Jean, all of Chester; two sons, Chad Ray St. Jean of Lancaster and Jody Hall St. Jean of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Johnny Raines and his wife Jolene of Chester; two sisters, Libby Williford of Great Falls and Dianne Ewald of Rock Hill. His grand-children are Shannon Kahle, Corbin Bowers, Avery Freeman, Colby Freeman, Ruby Freeman, Chad R. St. Jean, Jr., Destiny Noel St. Jean, Charlie St. Jean, Tyler St. Jean, Jacob St. Jean and Alex Estes.
Mr. Raines was a former deputy of the Chester County Sheriff Department.
