Luther E. Hunter, Jr. of 1210 Ross Road died January 2, 2017 in Carolinas Medical Center-Main. He was the son of the late Luther E. and Grace Moore Hunter, Sr. He is survived by one son, Luther E. Hunter III (Lisa) of Blackstock ; one brother, Jesse Hunter (Coot) of Chester;  two sisters, Betty Wallace of Camden and Marylee Kirkland of Chester; one grand-daughter, Mary Hunter of Blackstock and one great-grandson, Hunter Secrest of Blackstock. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Jean Houston and Geraldine Sanders; two brothers, Grady "Butch" Hunter and James K. Hunter; one grand-daughter, Nicole Harrison.

Mr. Hunter was of the Jehovah Witness faith and a retired from the U.S. Air Force and Chester County Landfill.

In keeping with Mr. Hunters wishes the services will be private. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
