"Lee" (Gibson) Duncan
May 4, 1944 – August 8, 2014
Macie Allee "Lee" Gibson Duncan, 70, of 500 Sirrine Street passed away Friday August 8, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Duncan was the daughter of the late Cloyed and Janie Reid Gibson.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Duncan of the home; son, Tony Morrison of Columbia; daughters, Sherry Morrison of Statesville, NC, Joy Hall of Chester, Tina Skinner and Tammy King both of Gaffney, Diane Langley of Gadsden, Alabama; brothers and sister, Harry and Rogers Gibson, Mary Welch all of Chester; nine grand-children, Scott Roof, Jacob Hall, Andrew Hall, Kim Porter, Angie Osborne, Michael Byars, Chase Duncan, Michael and Matt Skinner; and ten great-grand-children. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and it is her desire that memorials be made to the church in lieu of floral gifts. Several years ago Lee lead the large project to clean up the dismantled Gayle Mill and the building of the Gayle Park.
The visitation and memorial service for Mrs. Duncan will be at Westside Baptist Church on Monday morning, August 11, 2014. The visitation will be from 10a.m. until 11a.m., the memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Terry Fowler at 11a.m.
The family is at the home on Sirrine Street.
