Gaston, SC

Marion Dale "Butch" Austin, I, age 60, of Gaston, SC died January 16, 2015 in Lexington Medical Center.

Butch was born in Chester; he was the son of Laura Davis Austin of Chester and the late John Austin.

He is survived by one son, USAF TSgt. Marion Dale Austin, II (Valeree) of Clovis, New Mexico; three daughters Amanda Crocker (Jason), Krystal Austin, Christina Austin (Joel Russell); two sisters Angie A. Melton and Janice A Wade, both of Chester; grandchildren, Alison, Madalin, Austin, and Jason Crocker; Jenna-Lynn, Cara-Leigh Austin; Joey, Josh, and Hailey Russell.

Butch was retired from Southeast Valve.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandy Alexander and Mary Tillman.

A memorial service will be conducted by Reverend Jim Crowell, 6pm, Friday Jan. 22, Christian Fellowship Baptist, Gaston, SC 29053.
