Marion Herman Gaston, age 71, stepped from this earthly life into the loving arms of his Lord on Tuesday, July 14. He was the husband of Angie Young Gaston; the father of Fallon Gaston and grand-father of Caithen Flores, all of the home. He is also survived by his siblings, Jimmy Gaston (Audry) of Chester and Barbara Reid (Wayne) of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Gaston.

Mr. Gaston was of the Nazarene faith, a Mason, a Shriner, past president of the Chester Shrine Club. He retired from Springs Industries. Mr. Gaston never met a stranger and he accumulated an expansive group of friends during his life. Mr. Gaston was the highlight of any social setting and will be fondly remembered as the laughing, jovial man that everyone wanted to be around.

The family will host a gathering of friends and family, 4 – 6 p.m., Saturday, July 17 at the home, 1234 Eden Drive.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 930 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
