Mary Frances Carter Welch, age 81, of 1114 Radcliff Road went to her Heavenly home on December 3, 2015. She was the widow of Mr. Vincent Lee Welch, Sr. and the daughter of the late Henry F. and Grace Brown Carter.

She was a member of Chester First Free Will Baptist Church, retired from the Eureka Plant and a former substitute school teacher in Chester County School District. During her retirement she enjoyed crossword puzzles and taking care of her Chihuahua "Munchkin".

In addition to Munchkin she is survived by her two sons, Reverend Dale Welch and his wife Teresa of Chester, Vincent Lee Welch, Jr. of Chester; one daughter Kathy Roberts of Chester; 9 grandchildren, Wayne D. Roberts, Jr. (Jamie), Vincent Lee Welch III (Christina), Leuico Carter Welch, (Jan), Henry Hope Welch (Kaylah), Rebecca W. Hill (Jeff), Walter G. Welch (Angie), Heather D. Brady (Randy), Mary E. Dixie Roberts, honorary grand-daughter Casey Mayben; and 19 great-grand-children; four sister-in laws, Frances McKutcheon (Luther), Mary G. Welch, Emma Welch Menendez, Alma (Chubby) Welch; one brother-in-law, Harold Mitchell Welch, many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first child Vincent Carter Welch; a great-granddaughter Paisley Rayne Brady, three brothers, Waddell, Bill, Ralph Wylie, Joe Lee Carter; one sister Marie Carter Pigue.

Visitation for Mrs. Welch will be held at Pollard Funeral Home, Saturday evening 6-8p.m. The funeral will be held 3p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and conducted by Rev. Dale Welch. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1184 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
