Mary Allen Darby, age 91, formerly of 1380 Ridgeview Rd., passed away Feb. 8, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Luther D. and Lillie Benson Allen Sr. and the widow of Zeddie Darby. Mrs. Darby was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Edison, Wallace and Zeddie all of Chester; daughters, Vivian Huntington of Blackstock, and Mary Davis of Chester; brother, Luther Allen, Jr. of Chester; sister, Betty Outz of Chester; sixteen grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren.

The visitation for Mrs. Darby will be held at Pollard Funeral Home, Tuesday from Noon until 1:00 o'clock and the graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. Melvin Pressley and Pastor Stanley DeGraw at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family is gathering at the home of Wallace Darby, 1997 Connor Rd. in Chester.
