Mary Kay Smith, 69, passed away Wednesday evening in Landrum, SC at Hospice of the Carolinas-Foothill. She was the widow of William Leslie Smith and the daughter of the late James Oliver Schmidt and Ruby Jennings Schmidt Nelson. She is survived by two daughters, Regina Sparks (Mark) of Chester, SC and Christina Oliver (Adam) of Okeechobee, Florida; three brothers, David and Thomas Smith of Illinois and Allen Smith of Missouri; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The burial will be beside her late husband in Marion National Veterans Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
