Mildred Abell True, age 93, formerly of Chester, passed away February 9, 2015 in a Newberry care facility. She was the widow of Carl True and the daughter of the late William Henry and Leila Raines Abell, Sr. Mrs. True was a homemaker and a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church in McConnells.

She is survived by two brothers, William Henry Abell Jr. and his wife Bert of Newberry, Melvin Abell and his wife Karen of Little Mountain; two sisters, Willie Mae Johnson and Lenora Thomas of Columbia. She was predeceased by siblings, Syphrona Ward, Isla Mease and Albert Abell. The graveside funeral for Mrs. True will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday at Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery and officiated by Reverend Chip McArthur.
