Minnie Louise McGeary Lunger began her walk with her Savior on January 27, 2025.

Minnie was born March 5, 1938 to the late James and Lillian Gault McGeary in Bellwood, Pennsylvania. She married Robert Lunger in January 1955. Having their quiver full of three sons and four daughters; Randy of Virginia, Robin of New York, Eugene (Roxanne) of Pennsylvania, Sharon (Bradley Prouty) of Pennsylvania, Pamela (John J. Burrous) of Pennsylvania, Mary Jane Pagano of South Carolina, and Robert Jr. (Kamala) of South Carolina.

She was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren which she loved and knew dearly.

She has 2 remaining siblings, Lavina (Charles) Walters of North Carolina, Betty Jane Bridges of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; her brothers, Melvin, Wayne, Daniel and Robert McGeary; sisters, Vivian Calhoun, Connie Myers, and Judith Potts.

Minnie had worked at Bethlehem Steel, Fisher Price Toys, Galeton Production Plant, Galeton Area School, and Chester YMCA where she was a caretaker for over 100 children.

She was a member of Chester ARP Church, Galeton Presbyterian Church and Faith United Church of Christ of Boston, New York.

Minnie's Hobbies were keeping Bob straight, crocheting, ceramics, reading, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Tuesday, February 4th, the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and other immediate family members will gather for a private viewing & visitation, 4-5:00 p.m. at Pollard Funeral Home. The public visitation for everyone will follow from 5-7:00 p.m.

The funeral, conducted by Reverends William Elder and Clint Davis will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Chester ARP Church. The burial will be in Marchand Cemetery in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The family will be gathering at the home 1119 Craigbrow Circle in Chester. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
