Nellie "Nell" Alley Turner, age 73, of 122 Pinckney Street passed away Friday. She was the widow of Robert Curtis Turner and the daughter of the late Barto and Irene Ramey Alley. She is survived by her son, Jamie Leonard of Chester; sister and caretaker, Judy Lambert of the home; and her faithful pup, Hiddie; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews; sisters-in law, Glenda and Jackie Alley.

She was preceded in death by; siblings, John Alley, Amos Alley, Juanita Lucas and Mary Douglas; grandparents Floyd & Myrtle Ramey; John Alley, and Etta Navy.

Mrs. Turner was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She loved traveling with her husband and fishing in local ponds and lakes.

The services to honor the life of Mrs. Turner will be held Monday, October 22, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 132 Center St., Chester. The family will receive friends in the parish house from 1:00 until 1:50 p.m., the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Father Bill Fues will officiate.
