Pauline Partain Russ, age 85, passed away Wednesday in a local nursing home. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Fannie Hembree Partain. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Jones (Frank) of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Lester Partain (Sheila) & Troy Partain, both of Chester; one sister Virginia Fleming (Alvin) of Bennetsville, SC; a very special and close friend for many years, Hattie Brown Sims of Lancaster; grandchildren, Melissa Haakins (Chris), Terrance Jones (Jan), John Thomas Jones (Mandy) and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Russ.

Ms. Russ was a member of Ft. Lawn Church of God, she loved being on the go, traveling and playing Bingo.

The family is meeting at the home of Lester and Sheila Partain, 1235 Ross Road, Blackstock, SC 29714.

The visitation for Ms. Russ will be held in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26th. At the conclusion of the visitation at 1:00 p.m., Reverend Charlie Sims, Jr. will officiate the Celebration of Life Service. The burial will be private.
