Ray Lawson, 74, of Chester passed away Monday. He was the widower of Jenny Roberts Lawson and the son of the late William Riley Lawson and Ruby Thomas Lawson. He was retired from Coleman Logging and of the Christian faith. He is survived by one daughter, Rachael L. Meredith of Liberty, SC; four grand-children, Tiffany Craig (Eric) of Rock Hill, E.J. Craig of Rock Hill, Dylan Meredith of Easley and Meagan Breland of Easley; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Fay Phillips of Rock Hill; three nephews, C.J., Tyler and Billy Lawson; one niece, Christie Lawson of Ohio. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Lawson.

A Celebration of Life service for Ray will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 27, 2021 in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home. Reverend Kenny Compton will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Harvest Time Ministries in Chester.
