Obituary

Richard E. Feighner went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 19, 2013. He was the husband of Frances O. Feighner. Mr. Feighner was a member of Orrs Baptist Church, a past Deacon, the past Sunday School Director of the Chester Baptist Association, a Gideon, and he was retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He was born May 28, 1928 in Alexandria, Indiana to the late William and Maude Owens Feighner.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Feighner is also survived by three daughters, Dixana DeVault and her husband Mark of Mitchell, Indiana, Conneita Folk of Bedford, Indiana, Shenna Lynn Brown and her husband Tim of Bedford Indiana; five grand-children, Tom Chapman (Shelly), Brian Chapman (Tammy), Kevi Folk (Angie), Sherry Terrel (Ricky), Brad Terrel; and 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Feighner was preceded in death by his 5 Brothers and 3 sisters.
The funeral for Mr. Feighner will be conducted by Reverends Randall Runion and Curtis Marshall at 2:00p.m., Thursday, May 23rd at Orrs Baptist Church. The visitation will immediately follow the funeral.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to the Orrs Baptist Church, Together We Build Fund, 1266 Lancaster Hwy, Chester, SC 29706; or Gideon's International, PO BOX 140800, Nashville, TN. 37214-0800; or Hospice Care of SC, 173 Columbia Street, Chester, SC 29706.
