Ricky Wayne Blount, Sr., husband of Debra Estes Blount passed away at the age of 62, surrounded by his loving family, on November 21, 2013. Ricky was the son of the late Herbert and Mattie Turner Blount. He was retired from Rogers Builders, Inc. in Charlotte and he was a member of Together as One Ministries in Chester.
Ricky is also survived by sons, Ricky Wayne Blount, Jr. and his wife Shawna of Woodstock Ga., Lynn Darby and his wife Carla, Keith Darby and his wife Erica, Edward Darby and his wife Pricilla, all of Chester; two daughters, Margaret Franklin of Marietta, Georgia and Deborah Dooley and her husband Jason of Gilbert, SC; six brothers, Jimmy, Freddie, Johnny, Franklin, Buck and Willie all of Georgia; three sisters, Debbie Kight of Alabama, Darlene Fouts and Jaynell Louge both of Georgia, eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The visitation for Ricky will be at Pollard Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be conducted by the Reverends Roger Roof and Ronnie Greene at Together as One Ministries; 534 Bratton Street in Chester, The burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
The family is gathering at the home 1116 west End Road in Chester.
