James Ricky Gregory, age 69, of 741 Pinckney Road passed away at his home Monday, March 31, 2014. He was the husband of Helen Dickerson Gregory and the son of the late Clifford Gregory and Vivian Hair Gregory McKinney. He is also survived by one daughter, Melanie Ellison and her husband, Jamie of Chester; four grandchildren, Lauren Orr, Nathan, Jakob and Brittney Ellison. He was retired from Zenith Engraving and he was a Baptist. Mr. Gregory loved fishing for catfish and following the USC Gamecocks. Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by one step grandson, Kyle Ellison

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 173 Columbia Street, Chester, SC 29706.

Online memorials may be signed at pollard-funeralhome.com. The visitation for Mr. Gregory will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Pollard Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Jim McClure of Hospice Care of South Carolina will begin the visitation with words of comfort and a prayer.
