Robert Pryor Boyd, 83, of Chester passed away September 19, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert Aaron Boyd and Mary Elizabeth Orr Boyd. He was a 1963 graduate of Chester High School and he had been an avid hunter and fisherman before his health declined. Robert was retired from Campus Sportswear in Chester.

He is survived by one son, James Arthur Boyd (Lisa Marie Cassel); two nieces, Tiffany Boyd and Angela Burden (John) all of Chester; two sisters, Mary Funderburk (Hazel) of Great Falls, Frances Ursery of Tampa, Florida; numerous other nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John T. and Cyrus W. Boyd; one sister, Arlene Boyd.

The visitation for Mr. Boyd will be 2:00 – 2:50 p.m. Sunday, September 22nd at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church. The graveside funeral service will immediately follow visitation in the church cemetery. Pastor Jeff Kinard will officiate.

The family is gathering at 1198 Craigbrow Circle.
