Robert David Bruton, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, following a period of declining health. He was 73 and he is survived by his wife, Betty Howe Bruton of the home; three sons, Robert D. Bruton, Jr. (Sarah) of Mint Hill, NC, William Bruton (Tina) of Rock Hill, Billyjack Bruton (Kristin) of Chester; one daughter, Shawn Zangerine (Robert) of Little River, SC; one sister, Helen Edwards of Ft. Stockton, Texas; and a total of 41 grand and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bruton was a Christian and he was a U.S. Army veteran having served three tours in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Ayers Bruton.

The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home.
