Ronald Lee Tompkins, 61, closed his eyes and went home to Heaven on Sunday morning. He was the son of James Kenneth Tompkins of Chester and Helen Black Tompkins Meredith of Chester. Also surviving is his brother Danny Preston Tompkins of Chester, and one sister, Debra Ann Moore (Richard) of Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to The Community Church, 182 Saluda Street, Chester, SC 29706.
