Sam B. Furr, Jr., 49, passed away Wednesday in the company of his loving family. Sam was the son of Roxanne Horne Furr of Richburg and the late Sam B. Furr, Sr. He is also survived by; 2 daughters, Mikayla Sullivan (Anthony Griffith) of Ft. Lawn, Abigail Furr (Seth Morrow) of Chester; 1 brother, Alan Leonard of York; 2 sisters, Kimberly McManus (Chad) of Monroe, Kelly Pressley (Britt) of Richburg; 4 grandchildren. Colton, Amelah and Layken Griffith, Tinsley Mullis; 1 niece, Alexis Johnson (Dion Cousar); 7 nephews, Colby Johnson (Kaylee Bryant), Aiden Pressley, Michael and Bryson Leonard, Slayden Bailey, Trevor Jackson, Dwayne Vaughn; grandparents, Robert Lee Horne (Pam), Gregory Meyer both of Richburg; his fiancée, Mandy Jackson of Lancaster.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia Meyer, Baxter and Geneva Furr.

Sam was a sign fabricator for Pattison Sign Group in Heath Springs, a Baptist, and an avid Clemson Tiger fan. He also loved dirt track racing, the Atlanta Braves and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Pollard Funeral Home.

Pastor Jimmy Jordan will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday  December 2, 2023 at Emanuel Baptist Church in Ft. Lawn. The burial will be in the cemetery of Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church in Richburg.
