Samuel "Sammy" Monroe Morrison, 68, passed away Thursday morning. He was the husband of Peggy Smith Morrison and the son of the late Samuel Littleton Morrison and Inez Cope Morrison Miller. He is also survived by one son, Dustin Morrison; one daughter, Kristy Melton; five step-children, Brandy Melton, Donnie Melton, Dawn Melton, Michelle Huffstetler (Jeff), Rebecca Barratt (Matt) all of Chester; numerous grand and great grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy Sinclair (Gary) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Teresa Patton of Dalton, Georgia, Mickey Cope of Georgia. Sammy was a retired truck driver and attended Tabernacle Ministries when he was in better health. Pastor Kenny Compton will conduct the graveside service noon, Monday the 27th, in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mask and social distancing are suggested. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
