Sandra Jo Varnadore, 82, formerly of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in Spartanburg.  She was born on September 15, 1942 to the late Benjamin T. and Lucille McGuinn Cudd.  Sandra was a retired secretary and had worked for the Pentagon and the city of Chester in addition to other secretarial duties. She is survived by her sons, Eric Dover (Priscilla) and Chris Dover (Nikki); grandchildren, Tyler (Megan), Brandon, Jessica, Christyn, Bailey (Elijah), Kaylin (Justin); great grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Colton, Saylor and Lynna; three  brothers, Tim (Jan) of Alabama, Steve (Susan) of Lancaster, Roger of Gaffney. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Varnadore; one brother, Tedd Cudd. Sandra was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. She enjoyed the beach, bird watching, cooking, flowers, mountain trips and reading the Bible. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of White Oak of North Grove and the hospice staff for taking care of Sandra.

The funeral service for Sandra will be conducted by Reverend Daniel Wrightman, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4th in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spartanburg, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
