Shirley Kay Price Barber, 90, passed away July 22, 2026. The visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26th at Orrs Baptist Church. Reverend Daniel Wightman will officiate the Celebration of Life service immediately following at 3:00 p.m.

Mrs. Barber was born in Chester to the late Samuel A. and Ruby Rash Price. She is survived by daughters, Mary Kay Wessinger of Lake Wylie, Jean Ann Sisk (Dusty) of Richburg and Jane Ellen Barber of Chester. She is also survived by her grand-children Dustin Sisk, Evan Sisk (Carlee), Micah Kay Graham, Jordan Barber, Jeffery Barber, John Ferry and Josh Bowers. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Riley Sisk, Jonah Graham, Joseph Graham and Jacob Graham.

She was preceded in death by sons, John Crawford Barber, III, Joseph Alexander Barber, Jeffrey P. Barber, Carl James Barber; brothers, William Robert Price, Samuel Evan Price and Jeff Nicholas Price; sister, Barbara Gay Price.

Mrs. Barber was a devoted member if Orrs Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She loved her church family, bowling, playing softball on the church league and for Campus Sportswear. She enjoyed feeding wild birds and flower gardening and visiting Myrtle Beach with her family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Orrs Baptist Church, 1266 Lancaster Highway, Chester, SC 29706.

Mrs. Barber’s closely followed MLB and her grandson, Evan Sisk (Pittsburg Pirates pitcher) and was a devoted and longtime fan of the Atlanta Braves.

The family is gathering at the home, 1419 Peden Bridge Road in Chester. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
