Lawrence Stanley "Stan" Millard, Sr., age 66, of 154 Center Street, Chester, SC, passed away in Columbia, SC at the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn Veteran Center. Mr. Millard was born in Leavenworth Kansas to the Late Brees R. and Dorothy Porter Millard, Sr. He is survived by one son, Stan Millard, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Chester; one daughter, Jacque Lloyd and her husband Joe of Chester; three brothers, Larry Millard and his wife Barbara of Plano Texas, Jerry Millard and his wife Gloria of Lakewood Colorado, Brees Millard, Jr. of Leavenworth, Kansas; four grand-children Meghan Lloyd, Chad Lloyd, Nicholas Lloyd and Brees Frederick; three nieces and two nephews.

Stan was a Vietnam War veteran (U.S. Army) a retired truck driver, a life member and former Junior Vice Commander of the VFW and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Reverend Jimmy Porter will conduct a remembrance service for Stan in Leavenworth, Kansas on Friday, June 20 at 1:30p.m., Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048 . Those attending the service are asked to assemble in the parking lot of the Administrative Office no later than 1:15p.m. Those assembled will then be directed to the Pavilion as a group. The remembrence service is scheduled to begin precisely at 1:30p.m.

On Saturday June 21 from Noon until 2p.m. a luncheon and celebration of Stan's life will be held at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 120 Express Drive, Lansing, Kansas 66043.
