Sybil Funderburk, 68, passed away Monday in Rock Hill. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Lane Wheeler and Annie Blackwell Wheeler. Sybil was the widow of Dannie Lee Funderburk and the mother of Daniel Lee Funderburk (Samantha) of Spartanburg, SC, Kendra Funderburk of York, SC, and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Marie Funderburk Grant of Liberty, SC; four sisters, Patsy McCollough, Barbara Padgett, Sandra Renner and Lucille Brooks. She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Woodrow Mungo, Jr.

Sybil was a Baptist and she thrived on time spent with her family, reading and journaling.

A memorial service and visitation will be held Friday, August 29, at Lakewood Baptist Church, 3520 Mt. Gallant Rd. in Rock Hill.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice and Community Care.
