Sylvia Bland Ramey, age 60, of 1288 Pitts Road, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015.

She was the wife of Aubrey E. Ramey of the home. She is also survived by three sons, Michael E. Ramey and his wife April of Chester, TSgt David F. Ramey, USAF, and his wife Connie of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric Scott Ramey and his wife Elaine of Chester; one daughter, Rebecca Lee Ramey-Zaragoza and her husband Francisco of Sumter; one brother, Charles Bland of Chester; three sisters, Patricia Dove of Greenville, Christine Ramey and her husband James of Chester, Debra Davis of Chester. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Alan Michael Ramey, Mariah Ramey, Angel Zaragoza, Lynnlee Zaragoza, Ruth Ann Ramey, Aubrey Ramey and Davis Ramey; a special friend Penney Hollis of Chester. She was preceded in death by one brother, Murry James Bland, Jr.

She was the daughter of the late Murry J. and Margie Goings Bland, Sr.

Mrs. Ramey was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church and a leader of Girl Scout Troop 162 in Chester for the past thirty two years.

Her graveside funeral will be held at Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wednesday, December 2nd at 3:00 o'clock and officiated by Reverend Randy McSpadden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in her memory to the Uriel Cemetery Fund, 1578 Stringfellow Rd., Chester, SC 29706.

The family is gathering at the home on Pitts Road.
