Sylvia J. Robertson, 74, passed away Sunday night. She was the wife of Bill Robertson of the home, and step-mother to Mark Robertson (Debbie) and Teresa R. Smith, both of California. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and her sister, Rita DeRosa, all of California. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Michael Robertson.

Sylvia and Bill are the former owners of Gene's Restaurant in Chester, she loved her animals and her classic cars and going to cruise-ins and car shows. She was of the United Methodist faith.

She was a thoughtful, generous, comical, and fun spirit who, with a quick smile and a sharp wit, always lit up a room. She will be missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of the lives she touched.

Friends will gather 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at Pollard Funeral Home for visitation. The memorial service and celebration of Sylvia's life by Reverend Donald Etters will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel. Those attending that own vintage and classic cars are urged to drive their vehicles. Group parking will be provided.
