Forest City, NC-Tammy Melton Lee, 56, formerly of Chester passed away in Forest City on Friday, December 8, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late John W. and Patricia Fowler Melton. She is survived by two sons, David Melton of Forest City, NC and James M. Levister, Jr. (Katelyn) of Morganton, NC; two brothers, John Melton of Lake Lure, NC and Mike Melton (Nikkie) of Blackstock; two sisters, Wanda Darby (Eddie) of Chester and Angie Melton of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, David (DJ) Melton, Jr., Tristan Marso, Emma Levister, Delilah Levister, Grayson Levister and Garrett Levister; her companion, Mike Levister of Forest City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Lee.

Tammy was a Christian and she dearly loved all of her family and especially her grandchildren, her cats and her work. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Tammy to Hospice of Carolina Foothills, 372 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

The visitation will be at Pollard Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 12th, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Reverend Ed Harris will officiate the funeral beginning at 2:30 in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
