Ted "Teddy" A.
Horne, Jr.
Aug 5, 1963 — Sep 22, 2026
Richburg
Born on August 5, 1963, in Chester, SC, Teddy was the beloved son of Ted A. Horne Sr. and Shirley Benfield. Throughout his life, Teddy touched the hearts of many through his kindness, generosity, and genuine love for the people around him.
Teddy dedicated much of his professional life to working with his hands and taking pride in his craft. He owned and operated Teddy's Paint and Body Shop, where his talent, hard work, and attention to detail were reflected in everything he did. He also worked for Mosley Inc., where he continued to share his skills, work ethic, and dedication.
Teddy cherished his family above all else. He will be remembered by his children, Brandon Horne (Bree), Nathan Horne (Bella), and Briana Wylie (Darren); his grandchildren, Carter, Lawson, Marlee, Lennox, and Dallas; his sisters, Lisa Wolfe (Marty), Shelley Horne (Joe), and Codi Horne; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Teddy will be remembered for his love of music, motorcycle riding, and the love he had for those Clemson Tigers, but most of all, his love for his family, friends, and life itself. He had a way of creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Teddy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Lee Horne (Pop) and Mary Francis Horne; his stepmother, Pam Horne; and his baby brother, Lucas Horne.
Though Teddy is no longer with us, his love, laughter, stories, and memories will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Teddy will be fondly remembered in a casual Celebration of Life gathering with friends and family, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27th at Pollard Funeral Home. Teddy loved comfort so your casual attire of game day and motorcycle clothing is encouraged.
