"Terry" Terrell M. Darby, age 68, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015.
He was the husband and soul-mate of Sandra Smith Darby, the son of the late Dorothy Carpenter Darby Walters and William Henry Darby. Mr. Darby was reared in the home of his grandparents, Monroe and Essie Carpenter.
Terry is also survived by; one son and his wife, Robert and Deborah Darby of Dacula, Georgia; one brother and his wife, William "Gene" and Diane Darby of Lenoir City, Tennessee; grandchildren, Stephanie Darby, Katie Darby, Ben Darby, Jarrett Babcock and Heather Babcock; and numerous nieces and nephews he also dearly loved.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in the Vietnam War and Spain, and retired from a career of textile machinery sales.
Terry was a Christian in faith. He enjoyed walking in Chester for exercise, spending time with his family, and being a fan of the Clemson Tigers.
It is the family's desire that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or visit woundedwarriorproject.org or a charity of your choosing.
Visitation will be 3 until 4:30p.m Saturday, October 3rd at Pollard Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
