Thomas David Hunter, 79, husband of Gladys Patrick Hunter passed away Friday in Piedmont Hospital. He was the son of the late John L. and Mildred Lackey Hunter. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, John David Hunter of Chester; one daughter, Christie Hunter of Chester; two brothers, Jimmy and Alan Hunter both of Chester; two sisters, Rosemary Roberts (Billy) and Debbie Shook both of Chester; one great-granddaughter, Talia Marie Dewese.

Mr. Hunter was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a retired district manager for Independent Life Insurance Company. After his retirement from his insurance company, he maintained an active lifestyle by working as a security guard for Weiser Security.

The memorial service for Mr. Hunter will be conducted by Reverend Melvin Pressley, 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14th in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home, 115 York Street in Chester.
