Thomas Mitchell Roof, age 73 of Chester passed away March 18 ^th . He was the widower of Jeanne Walker Roof and the son of the late James P. and Lillie White Roof. He was the brother of Lawrence Roof  and Brenda Alley of Chester. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Paul Leonard Roof, Sr. and Yvonne Beckham.

Mr. Roof was of the Christian faith and he loved fishing at Lake Wateree and watching the Florida State University Seminoles. The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
