Velma Arlene Ricklefs Kindle, age 97, passed away July 22, 2017. She was born in Sterling Illinois to the late Fredrick and Anna Myer Ricklefs. She is survived by one son and his wife, Jack and Judy Kindle of Chester and three grandchildren, Jeffrey and David Kindle and Teri Hurtado; 6 great-grand-children: 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter Sandra June Kindle; one brother, Edgar Ricklefts; three sisters, Edna and Evelyn Johnson and Louise McDearmon.

Mrs. Kindle was retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

The funeral service for Mrs. Kindle will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church on Tuesday July 25, at Noon. Reverend Carole Walters will officiate. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 11 a.m. until Noon.

Mrs. Kindle will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Memorial Park in Sterling, Illinois
