Vivian Aquilla Grant, age 86, of 2638 Jupiter Blvd. SW, Palm Bay, FL died

Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the House of Light Senior Living Facility. She was born December 6, 1935 in Johnsonville, S.C. to the late Ivey J. Strickland and Vivian Williamson Strickland. She served as a Civil Service Worker in the accounting department for the United States Navy & the Department of Defense. Her later years were at the Naval Air Station (Mayport) in Jacksonville, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Cox Grant; one sister, June Boyd and two brothers, Jennings Strickland, Jr. and Glen Strickland.  She is survived by two sons; Ivey Joel Grant and his wife Sonja Grant of Cordova, TN;  Ted Strickland and his wife Becky Strickland of Dunn, NC; and her grandchild Jessica Grant.

The family will receive friends 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15th at Pollard Funeral Home. The graveside funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Clay Waldrop will officiate.
