Walter L. McLendon, 68, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025. He was the widower of Arlene Crosby McLendon. He was born in Tampa Florida to the late Edward C. and Dorothy Hunt McLendon. Walter is survived by three sons, Kurk Mead (Elizabeth) of Tampa Fl., Ronnie McLendon (Autumn) of Kernersville, NC, Robert McLendon of Chester; four brothers, Kenneth McLendon of Fla., Shelby McLendon of Fla., Paul Mathis of Ga, Donnie McLendon of Ga; two sisters, Sharon Riley and Teresa Mathis both of Fla.; three grandchildren, Jalenn Mead, Whitnee McSwain and Colton McLendon.

Walter loved his two dogs, Harley & Lucy. He was a huge fan of NASCAR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and wrestling.
