Waltraud K. Poarch, age 77, of Chester died April 12, 2016. Mrs. Poarch was the widow of James Francis Poarch and she was born in Mulheim an der Ruhr, Germany to the late Karl and Anna Ruub Kender.

Mrs. Poarch was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Poarch of Laurens; three sisters, Ingrid Weber, Margret Isberner and Vera Schaaf; and one nephew, Norbert Weber, all of Germany. She was preceded in death by two children, Angela Ann Poarch and Uwe Poarch.

It is suggested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Hospice Care of SC, 173 Columbia, SC 29706.

Mrs. Poarch will be buried privately in Lenoir NC beside her beloved husband James.
