William Copeland, Sr., age 95, of 2160 Trussel Road passed away October 20, 2019. He was the husband of Dolly Price Copeland and the son of the late Arthur L. and Mary Adeal Cameron Copeland. He was a retired card room supervisor for Springs Industries and had worked in all of the Chester area plants. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife Dolly, sons William Copeland, Jr. (Sherry of Chester, George Copeland (Tammy) of Swansea,  Joseph Copeland (Mandy) of Mississippi, Benji Copeland (Tracy) of Chester; daughters, Ann Clark of Monroe, NC, Willie Mae Hudson of Kershaw, Betty Copeland of Lodge, Angel Price (Steve) of Chester, Pam Sharpe of Santee; sisters Brenda Copeland and Betty Copeland both of Camden; 35 grand-children and 48 great-grand-children and several great-great- grand-children.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny, Frank, Edward, Arthur and Junior Copeland; Sisters, Lucille Copeland and Diane Copeland, daughter, Cathy Roden; son, Marion Wright; son-in-laws, Craig Sharpe and Scotty Clark and James Roden.

Visitation for Mr. Copeland will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pollard Funeral Home. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chester First Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Chester First Church of the Nazarene, 182 Pinckney Street, Chester, SC 29706.
