William H. Stephenson, 84, passed away Sunday morning. He was the husband of Betty Clack Stephenson. He is also survived by one daughter, Bonnie Brantley and husband Roger of Chester; one brother John Edgar Stephenson and wife Kay of Chester; three sisters, Mary Rose Millsap (Alvin), Linda Ashley and Tammy Price all of Chester; four grandchildren, Michelle, Mitch, Jessica and Samantha; ten great-grandchildren and two. great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Hall Stephenson and Edgar Brown Stephenson and his daughter, Sherry Ferrell.
Mr. Stephenson was a member of Armenia Methodist Church and owner of B & S Farm. He was a former member of Chester County Council, a member of Sandy River Masonic Lodge, an organizer of the Lowrys Christmas Parade, owner and barber of City Barber Shop, and he rode in the 1976 Bicentennial Wagon Train from Richburg, SC to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
The family will receive friends at the home, 3354 Armenia Road, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20th. The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Armenia Methodist Church, 2840 Armenia Road, by Reverend Bryan Meares, Peggy Sanders and Chaplin Michael Tyler. The burial will be in Armenia Cemetery.
