William Robert West, 35, passed away Thursday. He was the son of Robert Eugene West and the late Elizabeth Watkins West. He is also survived by his children, William R. West, Jr., Layla Jade West; Holly Hope, whom he loved as his own daughter; brother, Avery West; sister, Elizabeth Leanne Howze; grandmother, Barbara Long; aunts, Sandy West, Shari Sanders, Kim Lennon, Brooke Jessee, Nikki Bratton; uncle Billy Watkins (Lorrie). He was preceded in death by two children, Nolan Ryan West and Treasure Rayne West; grandfathers, John Robert West and Bill Watkins; grandmother, Carol Watkins; step-grandfather, James Long.

He was a Baptist and he loved his dog Remi; hunting and fishing. He loved baseball and played for Chester High School and The American Legion. He had a heart of gold and always helped those in need without

hesitation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to West Side Baptist Church, P O Box 1049, Chester, SC 29706.

The funeral service, by Reverend Gene Gaston, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at West Side Baptist Church, 523 Rose Street in Chester, SC. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral begins at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.
