Bobby Gene Morrow, age 77, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, SC he grew up in Chester where he graduated from Lewisville High School. He attended college at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton, Georgia.
He was a member of the Chester ARP Church where he served as Deacon, sang in the choir and participated in the Men’s Club. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and watched or listened to as many NASCAR races as possible. Fishing was a favorite pastime for many years, although he didn’t care much if the fish bit or not. Mr. Morrow was retired from the commercial tire sales division of Bridgestone Tire.
He is survived by his wife, Francis, to whom he was married for 55 years and loved beyond measure; his two children, Sonia Young (Pat) of Chester and Gene Morrow of Palm Coast , Florida; his grand-children, Trey Morrow, Melinda Young and Stephanie Young; and his two great-grand-children, Colton and Zach Morrow; brothers, Wayne Knight (Shenelle) and Billy Knight (Robin); sister, Phyllis Plyler. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Edna Morrow; sisters, Susan Hasty and Donna Hegler; brother, Ricky Morrow.
Visitation will be held in the Barron Room of Chester ARP Church, Tuesday 10 – 10:50 a.m. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and be conducted by Reverend Clint Davis.
