Dorothy Dottie Corey

Dorothy “Dottie” Etta Corey, age 60, passed away Sunday May 30, 2021 in Prisma Health-Columbia. She was born in New London, Connecticut on May 10, 1961 to the late Mary Ellen Wallen Rousey and William Rousey. She graduated from Valley Regional High School in Deep River, Connecticut.

She is survived by her daughter, Naideen L. Bunnell (Jason); and son, Albert B. Corey IV, (Rebecca Sorrels): grand-children, Lillian Charlotte Marie Corey and Alana Faith Corey, all of New London, Conn. Dottie was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Ann Corey.

Also surviving are her siblings, Mary Ann Johnson (Art), Nancy Berkhimer, & William M. Rousey Jr. all of Chester and Patricia Post (Michael) of Washington state.

 “Dottie” was gifted in drawing and singing, she loved Jesus and all animals. She also had the ability to draw people in with her kind heart and fun loving nature. She especially adored her grand-children & family.

 The family is hosting a Celebration of Life with a pot luck dinner, 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday June 5 at 523 Leslie Street in Chester. Please bring your chair and a covered dish.
