Fields Hayes

Fields K. Hayes, age 82, of Chester, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Mr. Hayes was born in Chester on October 3, 1938 to the late Robert Frank Hayes, Sr. and Anne Pressley Hayes.

He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Robertson (Jay) and Melissa Zidaroff, both of Greenville, SC; five grand-children, Brittany, Heather and Jerry Robertson, Jordan Robertson Buchanan (Zac), Katie Zidaroff Lee (Michael); two great-grand-children, Maddox Buchanan and Henry Lee, all of Greenville, SC.  He is also survived by his caregiver and dear friend Helen Gregory of Chester, SC. He was preceded in death by his brother, R. Frank Hayes, Jr.

Mr. Hayes was a retired truck driver from Wilson’s Trucking and a store clerk at Wilson’s Farm Supply in Lowrys, SC. In his better days, he loved working on his farm.

The family plans to schedule a Celebration of Life service for Mr. Hayes that will be held in the near future. The details will be updated on this website.
