Obituary
Gladys Smith Jones, 82, passed away August 7, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Hyatt and Nannie Dove Smith.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Jones of Fort Mill; one step-sister, April Edens (Preston) of Chester; grandchildren, Justin Jones, Kristian Jones, Kennedy Jones, Sawyer Jones, Colette Jones, Katelynn Edens, Jacquelyn Edens, Madison Edens, Jackson Jones; great-grandchildren, Aubrielle Jones and Carson Hobbs.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Frazier Ross Smith and one sister, Emma Louise Smith.
Gladys enjoyed meeting new people whether it was on her job at Cotton Hills Market or traveling around the area. She loved ice cream, her kitty cats and family and friends unconditionally. She was a Methodist.
The family will be receiving friends at 2288 Pressley Road on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Viewing will be Friday, August 11th at Pollard Funeral Home between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Her graveside service will be officiated by Reverend Marvin Hughes at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12th at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
