Obituary

Glenda Caldwell Allen, 74, of Chester passed away Tuesday in Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill. She was the widow of Stacy W. Allen and the daughter of the late Melvin M. and Alice Louise Neil Caldwell. She is survived by one son, Mark Wayne Allen (Christie) of Chester, one daughter, Jodie Burton (Daniel) of Chapin, one brother Melvin ray Caldwell of Beaufort, SC; two sisters, Merle Brown of Rock Hill, Sandra Nickloy of Noblesville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jacob, Austin and Ashley Allen, Reid Burton, Max Burton. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Neil Caldwell.

Glenda was a member of West Side Baptist Church and she was retired from Chester County Hospital where she was a radiology department manager and ultrasound technician.

Her graveside funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Gene Gaston, 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 21st at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2149 West Chester School Road, Chester, SC 29706. The family will receive friends at 1829 Baton Rouge Road, Chester, SC 29706, on Thursday from 4 - 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 1-3:00 p.m.
