Jack Lee McKellar, Sr. age 75 passed away Monday.
Mr. McKellar was born in Bessemer City, NC to the late E. J. and Dessie White McKellar and reared in Lockhart. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Clark McKellar of the home; a daughter, Shannon Clark McKellar & loving grand-daughter, Sara Elliott Clark McKellar of Chester; a son, Jack Lee McKellar (Cathy and girls Sydney & Gracie Helms) of Rock Hill. He is also survived by a brother, Steve McKellar (Billie Ann) of Rock Hill; a sister, Ruth Candler (Bud) of Spartanburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Baldwin; two brothers, Larry T. McKellar and Paul Melton.
Jack was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church; a former M.Y.F. Co-Leader and a member of Martha’s Sunday school class. He was retired from Chester County Natural Gas Authority and also had worked at Borden Food Company, Essex and the SC Department of Transportation.
He will be greatly missed by Shine, Wild Girl and Mazy.
