James Anthony Starnes, 38, passed away Monday in Columbia, SC.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sue McCorkle Curtis & Myron Kelly Curtis.
Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Melissa Starnes Knight (Andrew) of Edgemoor, Julie Norman (Scott) of Texas; brother, James Scott Starnes of the home; grandmother, Della Watts McCorkle of the home; several aunts and uncles, his father, James A. Starnes, Sr.
The visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pollard Funeral Home. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Lando Church of God by Pastor Ed Harris, Bishop David Levister and Pastor Andrew Flippo. The burial will be in Lando cemetery.
WB Noble Jimmy Starnes was a member and Past Master of Richburg Masonic Lodge 89 AFM. He was also a member and Past President of the Chester Shrine Club-Hejaz. Jimmy also served as a member and Past President of the Lando-Manetta Mills History Center where he enjoyed sharing his love for Lando with all. Jimmy was a pillar of the community and the organizations that he was involved in. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, rooting for the gamecocks, watching NASCAR and singing a good karaoke song.
