Junior McFalls

Junior Edward McFalls, age 93, of Chester South Carolina passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  He was a faithful member of the Saluda Street Church of God.  After working more than 30 years as a weaver, he retired from a local textile mill.

He is survived by his eight children:

David (Lena) McFalls of Clover, SC, Edward Eugene McFalls of Clover, SC, Becky Carrol of Denver, NC, Cecil (Sherry) McFalls of Woodstock, GA,  Barnabas (Abby) McFalls of Hartsville, SC, Hope Burton of Clinton Twp., MI,  William Roy McFalls of Chester, SC,  and Faith (Darius)Walden of Bakersfield, California.

Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Bertha Mize McFalls and his five siblings, Nathan, Richard, Nelle Whitstine, Mildred Teigue, and Jerry McFalls.

Junior’s life interests were hard work, gardening, studying the Bible, and an occasional trip the fish camp. He would often give most of his garden away. Junior taught the Men’s Sunday school class for several years, and also served his church as council member, and Family Training Hour Director.

The visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service will be held at 11: 00 am; Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Saluda Street Church of God, 544 Saluda Rd., Chester SC, 29706. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Darius C. Walden and Rev. Clint Starnes.

Burial will be held at Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 West End Rd., Chester SC, 29706.
