Obituary

 Margaret Athorn Strange, 84, of Chester passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022. She was the widow of Joe Strange. She was born in England to the late Herbert and Florence Breraton Athorn.

She was the mother of James Elms of Greensboro, NC, Jon Elms (Judy) of Chester and Suzie Elms of Blackstock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Burgher (Joel), Colin Bell (Hannah), Wilson Bell (Abigail), Grace Elms; great-grandchildren,  Dawson Bell and William Bell; her siblings, Charles Athorn and Lillian Athorn of England.

Mrs. Strange was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She loved flower gardening, reading and tending her beautiful wild birds.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Agape Care of SC, 1326 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home.
